Other future markets for torrefied biomass are, among others:
- Direct use of torrefied biomass in large-scale and small-scale industrial heating, district heating and residential heating;
- Co-firing of torrefied biomass with coal for the production of steel;
- Application of biomass as a feedstock for the production of transport fuels;
- Application of biomass as a fuel for gasification.
